The Dream of a Lifetime

Khadija, a nineteen-year-old on the autism spectrum, lives within a family that tries to protect her and provide everything she needs — but she dreams of becoming an actress and proving that being different doesn't stand between her and her dreams. When she meets a theater director who believes in her talent, she gets a real chance to stand on stage, but the world of acting brings new challenges: the difficulty of communicating with others, society's gaze, and friction with siblings who feel the family gives her all its attention. Khadija sets out to discover her talent and prove she doesn't need to be treated as helpless — but as a person with a dream, and the ability to make it real.
