The Hope of My Life

Amal, an orphaned girl raised in a working-class neighborhood, had to abandon her education and take up grueling manual work to support her siblings and her late father's wife, putting her whole life in the service of the family. Over time her sacrifices are met with exploitation and mistreatment from those closest to her — until she decides to break the cycle, finish her education and begin building an independent life, even if the price is walking away from the family she spent her life serving.
